Mr. Doug Boisseau

Mr. Doug Boisseau, age 85 of Guthrie, passed away on Tuesday, April 1st, 2014 at 10 p.m., at the Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tennessee of natural causes.

Mr. Boisseau was born September 17, 1928 in Sadlersville, Tennessee, the son of the late James and Della Tatum Boisseau. He was a former Sheriff of Todd County and a member of the Guthrie Baptist Church and the Guthrie Bethel Masonic Lodge F&AM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife, Mary Gordon Boisseau; one daughter, Sandra Cole; one brother, James Boisseau and five sisters, Ura Leach, Mary Alice Fredericks, Beulah Mae Crossman, Odele Leech and Lillian Reding.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Boisseau (Melanie) of Clarksville, Tennessee and Russ Boisseau (Donna) of Adams, Tennessee; two daughters, Sharon Oliver (Ree) of Guthrie, Kentucky and Judy McNelly (Jerry) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Shannon Johnson, Michael Oliver, Miller Boisseau, Gavin Cole, Mason Boisseau, Marcie Gould, Jennifer McNelly, Morgan McNelly and MaKayla Boisseau, and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the Boisseau family will be on Thursday evening from 4 until 8 p.m., at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home, and again on Friday from 12 Noon until the time of the service, which is scheduled at 2 p.m., at the Guthrie Baptist Church in Guthrie, KY. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
