Horace Eugene Davis
Horace Eugene Davis, age 83, of Clarksville, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 24, 2014.
He was born in Charlotte, TN, to the late Jesse Eugene Davis and Betty George Nicholson Davis.
Horace was a long-time pharmacist and owner of Dickson-Sadler Drug Company. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a Grand Knight and Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Parish Council, as well as a lay eucharistic minister, at the church. Mr. Davis was also a past PTA president at St. Mary's School.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m., at the Chapel of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Father Jean-Baptiste Kyabuta officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, March 28, from 3-7:30 p.m., at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with a 7:30 Prayer Vigil.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Davis, Rob Davis, Matthew Davis, Clay Davis, Austin Davis, Blake Davis, Christopher Martin, Daniel Martin, and Jake Harris.
Horace is survived by his loving wife, Mary Therese Baltz Davis; sons, Michael E. (DeAnna) Davis, of Nashville, Dr. James E. (Martha) Davis, of Clarksville, and Gary R. (Lisa) Davis, of Clarksville; two daughters, Anne D. (Peter) Martin, of Clarksville, and Katie (Michael) Harris, of Mt. Juliet, TN; one sister, Peggy Joyce (Doug) Bradbury, of Cumberland Furnace, TN; eighteen grandchildren, Kevin Davis, Rob Davis, Matthew Davis, Clay Davis, Krista Davis, Jenna Davis, Austin Davis, Jason Jones, Blake Davis, Rachel Davis, Christopher Martin, Daniel Martin, Laura Martin, Meghan Martin, Jake Harris, Zoe Harris, Mia Harris, and Vivi Harris; and two great grandchildren, Jada Jones and Kaleb Jones.
