John William Moseley, Sr.
John William Moseley, Sr., age 66 of Cunningham, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.
He was born in Kingsport, TN to Grace Cooper Moseley and the late Eldrege Eugene Moseley.
John was a professor at Austin Peay State University for 18 years. He was a part of several civic organizations, including the Special Olympics
, Camp Rainbow, Bikers Who Care, and Buddy Ball. Mr. Moseley was also the recipient of the Harold Love Award in 2012.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 12th at 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with David Wesner, Tim Winters, and Mike Gotcher officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 11th from 3 to 7 p.m., and on Wednesday from 12 Noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jane Moseley; son, John William Moseley, Jr. of Nashville, TN; stepson, Mark Brandon (Jeri) Smith of Woodlawn, TN; daughter, Michele Grace Moseley of Clarksville; brother, Tommy (Betty Wise) Moseley of Newland, NC; two grandchildren, Jacquline Smith and Rylee Moseley; and one great-grandchild, Sayde Giles.
