Michael A. Hendricks

Michael A. Hendricks of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 in Antigo, WI at age 69.

Born June 2, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI, a son of Anthony and Rose (Kolz) Hendricks. He was raised in Antigo and entered the United States Army, where he received training to become a licensed practical nurse. He served in the Army for 23 years, having been in Korea, Vietnam, and Japan. After being discharged in 1984 with the rank of Sergeant-First Class, he entered civil service and continued as a LPN in Ft. Campbell, KY at Blanchfield Army Hospital.

He married Valerie Walsh on August 27, 1994 in Clarksville, TN. She survives. Mr. Hendricks was a charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11160 in Clarksville, TN. He enjoyed summers at Post Lake, WI, fishing and going to the casino.

Survivors, including his wife are two sons, William and Anthony Hendricks of Kentucky; a grandson, Jordan; two sisters, Judith (George) MacDonald and Mary Jane (Thomas) Rusch, Antigo, WI; a sister-in-law, Vickie Hendricks, Marinette, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and William Hendricks.
