Napierville, IL

Joseph Evans DeCanto, age 24 of Napierville, IL found peace on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016. He was born on June 19th, 1992 in Nashville, TN to Deborah Griffey DeCanto and the late Joseph Francis DeCanto. Evans graduated from UIC- Chicago with a business and marketing degree. He enjoyed golfing, lawn care, numerous outdoor activities, and was skilled in repair of small engines.

Evans is survived by his adoring brother, John Glenn DeCanto and half-sister Vickie Wright. He was also blessed with loving grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, December 4th at 2:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home with Brother Steve Kirby officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:30 p.m. until the hour of service. Committal service will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Clarksville, TN.

The family wishes to extend special appreciation to Dr. Keith Avery, PsyD. for continuous support and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mental Health America at www.mentalhealthamerica.org and the National Alliance on Mental Illness at www.nami.org.
