Evelyn Homer Glenn Hunter

Evelyn Homer Glenn Hunter, age 86 of Clarksville, TN, died on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center.

She was born in Clarksville, TN to the late William Glenn and Mildred Louise Smith Glenn. She was also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Harper Navarro Ausenbaugh.

A celebration of Ebbie's life will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 4-6 p.m., at her daughter's home, 806 Shady Bluff Trail, Clarksville, TN 37043. Family service to be held at a later date.

Evelyn was an elementary school teacher with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.

She is survived by her husband, Lee "Buddy" Hunter of Clarksville, TN; son, Benjamin (Pam) Hunter of Brentwood, TN; three daughters, Sallie Armstrong of Oak Grove, KY, Millie (Tom Presler) Armstrong, and Elizabeth (John) Ledbetter of Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren, Amy Sturdivant, Austin Ausenbaugh, Laurie Weber, Jacob Hunter and William Hunter; one step-grandchild, William Presler; five great-grandchildren, Drew Sturdivant, Abigail Sturdivant, Zachary Weber, Zoie Weber, and Amelia Sturdivant; two step-great-grandchildren, Isabella and Alexander Presler; and life long friend, Betty Pearl Miller Rudolph.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 213 Main Street, Clarksville, TN 37040; Montgomery County Customs House and Museum, 200 S. Second Street, Clarksville, TN 37040; and the Montgomery County Historical Society, 1 Millennium Plaza, Clarksville, TN 37040.
