Harrod James Bergmann
SFC (retired) Harrod James Bergmann, age 75 of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at his residence. Mid-South Funeral Care is in charge of arrangements.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Bergmann was born January 14, 1938 in Prairie du Rocher, IL to the late James Harrod and Olive Margaret Schirker Bergmann. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Katheryn Margaret Bergmann.
He retired as an Army SFC after 20+ years of services with many foreign tours, including a combat tour in Vietnam. He was a member of World Wide Grace Fellowship in Clarksville. He was a family man that loved to travel, hike, fish, hunt and ride motor cycles. He was a member of the DAV and the Screaming Eagles 101.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Anne Davis Bergman; daughters, Teresa Ramsey, Jo Anna "Jodi" (Stewart) Schroer, Alinea Bergmann, sons; Shane Bergmann, Jason E. Bergmann; stepdaughters, Gwendolyn (Rick) Rodgiquez, Daphne (Yuji) Hakuno; brother, John (Anne) Bergmann; sisters, Kathleen (Bill) Chartrand, Joyce (Albert) Schafer; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
