Preston Barnes

Preston Barnes, age 90 of Clarksville, TN, died on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center.

He was born on September 12, 1922 in Stewart County, TN to the late Robert Barnes and Clara Bell Barnes. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Barnes; three sons, Randy Wayne Barnes, Paul Preston Barnes, and Chris Allen Barnes; four brothers; and three sisters.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11 a.m., at Williams Cemetery in White Bluff, TN, with Rev. Skip Armistead officiating.

Mr. Barnes was formerly of White Bluff in Dickson County, TN. He was U.S. Army Veteran, having served in WWII where he was wounded in combat. He was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church, Civilian Conservation Corp., and was a mason.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Walker McCutcheon of Clarksville, TN, and his sister-in-law, Rowena Barnes of Winston-Salem, NC.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the administration and staff of Dogwood Bend for the care and love they gave to my father.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Find-Us-Faithful Fund at Hilldale United Methodist Church, 1751 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
