Martha Gladys Stubblefield Stavely, age 86 of Dover, TN, died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Patients Choice Medical Center in Erin, TN.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory in charge of arrangements.
The family will be at the Stavely home, 332 Castle Lane, Dover, TN on Sunday, February 10, 2013 and Monday, February 11, 2013.
Mrs. Stavely was married to the late Sidney Stavely. She was born May 12, 1926 in Stewart County to the late George and Chloe Markin Stubblefield and was the youngest of ten children. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dallas, Cornelius, Loudon and Glandon; sisters, Ida Hill, Hestella Howard, Eva Mulherin and Chloe Jewel Cox.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church. Mrs. Stavely attended Trevecca Nazarene University and graduated from Austin Peay State University with B.S., M.A. and Educational Specialist Degrees. She retired as a classroom teacher from the Stewart County School System.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Stavely-Hardin of Cumberland City, TN; grandchildren, Charley Hardin of Dover, TN and Marsi (Chris) Boone of Lebanon, TN; great grandchildren, Chase and Sydney Hardin of Dover, Lucas and Emily Boone of Lebanon, TN; sister, Virginia Parker of Granite City, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Good Samaritan Cancer Fund, c/o Rev. William Gray, P.O. Box 115, Dover, TN 37058.
