Guy Webster Cline, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Tennessee Veterans Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at VFW Post 4895, Clarksville, TN.
Guy entered into this life on June 28, 1925 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Webster and Grace Kurtz Cline. Guy bravely served his country in WWII and the Korean War. He retired after committing to a career of military service, having been enlisted in both the U.S. Marine Corp and the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW and the CID Agents Association.
Guy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gretchen Cline. He is survived by his children, Denny Cline, Guy Cline, Wayne Cline, Tammy Lepley, and Bonnie Paul.

We are very sad to hear of his passing we enjoyed his great sense of humor and his great stories we know that hell be sadly missed. What a great man he was and wonderful poker player it was my honor to server him when i was a cook at post 4895.

We'll miss Guy terribly from our monthly Poker Games; Jon Holloway, Danny Wimmer, Bill Singerhoff, Ron DeLuca and Ted Theodore. We enjoyed being around him. We are all better since he passed our way. Good Bye, old friend.

"Lie softly there. Rest, rest. Your fight is over. Rest in Peace brave warrior. Rest in Peace." I have dedicated my book to my Uncle Guy and his two brothers, Ralph and Edward Cline. Uncle Guy served his country in the Pacific in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II, after the war he served as as Criminal Investigator for the U.S. military in Japan, the Philippines and Guam. As a life long veteran he honored his country. He was true warrior who served with distinction. He will be missed by his family, his friends, his comrades in arms and all who knew him. Semper Fi.
