McDONALD, 87
WINTER HAVEN - Donna Marie McDonald was born February 20, 1927 in Oscoda, MI to Raymond and Bertha Colwell. She passed away on March 2, 2014 in Winter Haven, FL, due to natural causes.
She married Theodore McDonald on January 6, 1947. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Theodore, and brother Leonard (Bud) Colwell. Donna is survived by her son, David McDonald of Winter Haven, FL and daughter, Debra Blake of Alpharetta, GA, as well as 3 granddaughters, Carlisle Brown, Katy Mills and Morgan Blake.
Donna is a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Haines City, FL. She served on the board of many organizations and volunteered regularly. She had a love of gardening and was active in the Winter Haven Garden Club.
Donna and Ted lived most of their lives in Saginaw, MI where they were active in their church, Calvary Episcopal, and the Germania Club. They leave many close friends and family members in Saginaw.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lamb of God Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM. A lunch will be provided afterward at the church. Her ashes will be inurned beside her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. at a future yet to be determined date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.

I am sorry for your loss. I have good memories of Mrs. McDonald from Calvary Episcopal Church in Saginaw, MI. She will always be "Mrs. McDonald" to me...my deepest sympathies to everyone in the family.

I lived next door to Donna & Ted in Saginaw until they sold and moved away.

So sorry to hear that Donna passed away. We only met her a handful of times, but she seemed like a lovely lady. But we can know her by the special daughter she raised! We love you Debra and are sorry for your loss.
