Pastor Jim, you knelt beside so many of us, at the feet of Jesus, trusting that Christ would save, heal and deliver all those who call upon His name. That genuine love of God's Word, that genteel yet strong Carolinian swagger, your unwavering devotion to your wife, (whom you call "Sugar") and the joy you found in your family and friends are a wonderful legacy. I did not learn of your memorial until after it was over, but I always tried to remember to say thank you for your fatherly, kind-hearted prayers.

When I went to work at LHM I didn't know that my mornings will consist of seeing so many people that would pass by Pastor Jim's office for hugs and prayers. It felt good to pray and lift up the name of Christ with Pastor. Nobody left his office the same way they went in. Thank you Pastor for the beautiful memories and for the love you radiated. For your words of wisdom and our lunches together. I will always remember you.
