LAKE ALFRED - Mr. Charles LeRoy Watson, age 69, died of heart failure Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Born in Clarion, PA, on Oct. 10, 1944, he came to Winter Haven from Shippenville, PA, in 1980. He worked for dry cleaning chemical service, ADCO Chemical, Inc. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of the VFW. He was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his son Steven Watson; and wife Karen Ann Watson. He is survived by his sons Chuck Watson, Orlando, Bill Watson, San Diego, CA; brother Jack Watson, Wichita Falls, TX; daughter-in-law Mika; five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Crisp-Coon Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lake Alfred.

Chuck I will miss your laugh and hugs. The stories you shared with us about your boys as they grew up.I met you late in life but I am grateful for that brief time. Rest in Peace. To his family: I pray the love of God be a comfort to you in the difficult days to follow.My sincerest condolences.

For the family of Chuck Watson... I am so sorry for your loss... Chuck was an awesome guy...This really comes as a shock... You boys take care.. your dad is in a much better place...I will be praying for you all.
