Grocery Manager
LAKELAND - 1st Lt. Quentin U. Monck, 92, died March 21, 2013 at Oakbridge due to respiratory failure.
Mr. Monck managed a grocery store and moved to Lakeland in 1994 from Vicksburg, MI after being a part time resident here
for ten years. He did volunteer work through his church and was always
there to help others in need. He served as a First Lieutenant in the US
Army during WWII.
Mr. Monck was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, sweetheart for 84 years, Maxine Monck, two siblings and his parents. He is survived by sons James (Sharon) Monck, Rio Vista, CA, Craig (Sue Ann) Monck, Grand Rapids, MI; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 am at
Gentry-Morrison Southside.
