OLLIE MYRTLE 'O.M.' WHITE, 86 State of Florida BARTOW - Ollie Myrtle 'O.M.' White, age 86, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Brighton Gardens of Tampa. Born December 31, 1927, to Osgood M. & Eva Powell White in Bartow, FL, Ms White was a resident of Tampa since 2003, moving from Bartow. She was employed with the State of Florida Department of Social Services for 35 years. She was a graduate of Judson College of Marion, AL. She was a member of the Bartow First Baptist Church; the Judson College Alumni Association and the Bartow Cricket Club. Ms. White was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Eva W. McVay, Elizabeth W. Wood and Sarah W. Sutton. She is survived by four nieces: Sarah 'Sally' Stephenson, Salem, VA, Helen W Mason, Odessa, FL, Jane M. Kinney (Wayne), Dallas, TX, and Frances Gutierrez (Roque), Benicia, CA. Memorial services will be held Monday, March 9, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the graveside at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery. ROY V. WHITE, 79 BARTOW - Roy V. White, age 79, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, in Winter Haven. Born September 23, 1935, in Milton, Florida, he was the son of the late Murdoch and Ruth (Holliday) White. Roy attend the Naval Academy at Annapolis and graduated from Georgia Tech. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Roy worked many years as an engineer and later in the construction industry. Mr. White was a charter member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Bartow. Along with his parents, Roy is preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Lewis White, his second wife Patricia White, his daughter Debbie, and his siblings: Joe, Mary, and Paul. He is survived by four daughters: Laura Feagle of Hartwell, GA, Lynda White Packard (Matthew) of Damascus, MD, Karen White of Lakeland, Tacy McNeal, also of Lakeland, seven grandchildren: Amanda, Brent, Ryan, Michelle, Bradley, Keith, Stacy and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 1pm to 2pm at Wildwood Baptist Church in Bartow. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00pm at the church. WALSH, MARTHA J. BOWEN - Winter Haven  
MARTHA J. BOWEN WALSH, 74 WINTER HAVEN - Martha J. Bowen Walsh, a longtime resident of Central Florida, died Monday the 23rd of February, 2015, at her home in Winter Haven, Florida, after battling cancer for many years. Born in 1940 in Albany, GA, she moved to Winter Haven with her family at the age of twelve. She is preceded in death by her youngest son Thomas Kelly Bowen and is survived by her sisters Barbara Pankow, June Ritchie and Susan Rindley, brother William Watson, her sons James W. and Terryl Bowen, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Martha was a housewife, artist, business woman and avid supporter of human rights and animal cruelty issues. A kind and generous mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she loved her family passionately. She loved the sea and spent as much time as possible near the beaches of Florida. Martha was smart, witty and genuine, and was well loved by those who knew her. In her last days, Martha was lovingly cared for by those closest to her and passed peacefully. It was her wish that there be no public ceremonies and to be cremated, her ashes scattered into the sea at Anna Maria, Florida. The family wishes that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Humane Society of Polk County, 555 Sage Rd., Winter Haven, FL, 33881. ( www.humanesocietyofpolkcounty.org ). WARD, ROBERT M.C. - Lakeland  
REV. DR. ROBERT M.C. WARD, 80 LAKELAND - The Rev. Dr. Robert M.C. Ward entered the Church Triumphant on January 31, 2015, at Florida Presbyterian Homes in Lakeland, Florida, surrounded by his family. He died while in hospice care as a result of multiple strokes. Dr. Ward was born in Newburgh, New York, on September 21, 1934, and was the son of a Presbyterian minister and school teacher. He graduated from the College of Wooster, McCormick Theological Seminary and San Francisco Theological Seminary. He married the love of his life, Grace Ossentjuk, the daughter of a Presbyterian minister, in 1960. The Wards served churches in the Midwest and the Southeast for 50 years. Dr. Ward was a dynamic preacher yet his love of children was evident in his elaborate children's sermons that captivated all ages. He excelled at congregational leadership and church business administration but found his real niche in ministry by serving congregations in conflict as a Transitional Pastor (Interim specialist). He is survived by his wife Grace; his three children: Kathryn A. Neff (Michael Neff), Rev. Dr. Robert D. Ward (Rev. Dr. Victoria Isaacs), and Rev. Dr. William J. Ward (Dr. Rachel Ward); his brother Rev. Thomas S. Ward; nine grandchildren; and three great-grand daughters. FAYE W. WARING, 84 AUBURNDALE - Faye W. Waring, age 84, of Mulberry, FL, passed away on 2/25/15, at Good Shepherd Hospice of Auburndale. Faye was born on 11/8/30, in Mangum, OK. Faye was a home health aide for years and retired from Master Containers in Mulberry. Faye is survived by 5 daughters: Alice Niblett of Lake Alfred, Wanda Niblett of Haines City, Rita Niblett of Lakeland, Delene Smith, of Lake Alfred and Glenda Burgess of Clermont, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
