ALLBRITTON, WILLIE L. - Bartow  
WILLIE L. ALLBRITTON, 83 Mechanic EAGLE LAKE - Willie L. Allbritton, age 83, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015, at home in Eagle Lake. Born April 12, 1931, in Valdosta, GA, he was the son of the late Lee Alexander and Sally (Hartline) Allbritton. Willie was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army. After his service, he worked as an auto mechanic in Winter Haven at the Dodge and Plymouth dealerships. Mr. Allbritton went on to mechanic for the Polk County School Board and retired from the school board after many years of service. Willie is preceded in death by his first wife Carolyn Louise Allbritton in 1974. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ruth (Shouppe) Allbritton of Eagle Lake, two sons, Derrell Allbritton (Phyllis) of Valrico, Dennis Allbritton (Ellen) of Charlotte, NC, two daughters, Darlene Barrentine (Larry) of Fort Meade, and Rhonda Stamey (Tom) of Haines City, two brothers, Donnie Allbritton (Jo-Ann), Bobby Allbritton (Geri), both of Valdosta, GA, two sisters, Elvalena Chaney (Jimmy) also of Valdosta, GA, Eloise Harman (Charles) of College Park, GA, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2015, from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow Saturday, February 28th at 10:00am at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. BAILEY, JAMES CHADWICK  
JAMES CHADWICK BAILEY, 46 Entrepreneur LAKELAND - Chad Bailey passed away on February 23, 2015, due to cardiac arrest. Chad was a 1986 graduate of Lakeland High School. He was a self-employed entrepreneur. Chad was preceded in death by his younger brother Christopher Scott Bailey and beloved grandparents. He is survived by his pride and joy, James Nicholas Bailey (Lauren), his parents James Edward and Georgeann Bailey, siblings Lisa Rodriguez-Cayro (Robert), Jessica Hadley (Tyler), and Joshua Bailey (Katie). He also leaves behind 4 nephews, 2 nieces, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Big Chad was everyone's go to guy. He possessed the unique ability and desire to see the good in even the hardest to love individual. Chad's joy came from helping others and knowing he had a part in brightening their life. Chad's love for people stemmed from the love of Christ he carried in his gentle heart. Chad was the hands and feet of Jesus to all he encountered. The way in which he cared for others will be his legacy. His infectious laugh, charismatic personality, and charming sense of humor will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 3 to 5pm on Sunday, March 1, at First Presbyterian Church, Lake Hollingsworth. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund to aid with funeral expenses has been set up at MidFlorida Credit Union for James Nicholas Bailey. (James Chadwick Bailey memorial fund).

BAISDEN, EDNA  
EDNA BAISDEN, 68 Ametic Gauge LAKELAND - Edna Baisden, 68, was born August 3, 1946, and passed away on February 25, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Lakeland. She worked for Ametic Gauge for 20 years and was a member of the Family Worship Center. She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Baisden, sons, Greg and Bryan Baisden, brothers, Jerry and John Williams, sisters, Mildred Dart and Ruby Wise, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015, (today) from 6-8 pm at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 28 at 10 am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park. RICHARD CHURCH, 67 LAKELAND - Richard Church passed away February, 26, 2015. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. He retired from Kodak and moved to Lakeland from Byron, New York. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann, and is survived by his children Ann (Richard) Estridge, Richard (Gem-ma) Church, Michelle (Dean) Corliss, three grandchildren: Brianne, Maryann, and Gerard, and his loving companion Janet Divver. Memorial Service to be held on March 15 at Highland Park Church at 3pm.

TODD COLE, 46 LAKE ALFRED - Mr. Todd Cole, age 46, died February 24, 2015. Born in Gastonia, N.C., he moved from Immokalee to Lake Alfred, Florida, in 1998. He was a barber by trade. Todd was a commander of the Sons of American Legion. He was also active in the fight for Alzheimer's (organizer of the Memory Poker Run). He is survived by his wife Lynn L. Cole; 2 daughters Cristy Cole of Douglas, GA, Britney Price of Ft. Meade, FL; brothers Terry Cole of N.C., Tony Cole of TN; sister Tammy Minton of N.C.; and three grandchildren. Services will be Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post 8, Winter Haven.

WILLIAM 'PAPA BILL' THOMAS DEHART, Jr., 88 WINTER HAVEN - William 'Papa Bill' Thomas DeHart, Jr., age 88, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015. He was born November 18, 1926, in Portsmouth, VA, the son of William Thomas DeHart, Sr., and Esther A. Gregory DeHart. He was a retired BMCM with the U.S. Navy. He was a Lieutenant, retired from the Portsmouth, VA, Fire Department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wahneta where he served as a teacher and deacon. Bill, or 'papa Bill' as he was known, was preceded in death by his first wife Frances M. DeHart and daughter Ruth Ann Orndorff. He is survived by his wife Ethel DeHart, daughter Debi DeHart, sons William B. (Jennie) DeHart, and Thomas (Vicki) DeHart, stepsons Barry (Tracey) Cayson and Butch Cayson, brother Harry M. DeHart, grandchildren Jaimee Robinson, David (Aman-da) Robinson, April DeHart, Jennifer Hartzell, Sarah (Tim) Moss, Melissa Craddock, Benjamin (Stephanie) DeHart, William B. (Rhonda) DeHart, Jr., Crystal (Joe) Dowdy, Eric (Heather) Cayson, Chad Cayson, Brandi King, Emma Rose Cayson and 20 great grandchildren. Visitation is Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 2-4pm with funeral services Monday, March 2, 2015, at 11am, both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven, FL.

STEPHEN J. HAMPTON, 48 WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Stephen J. Hampton, age 48, died February 24, 2015. Born May 22, 1966, in Lakeland, Stephen was a lifetime resident of Winter Haven. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, and attended St. Joseph's Catholic School. After school, he traveled to Las Vegas, got a degree in gaming and was a Pit Boss for 17 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Heather Hampton; and grandparents Dr. and Mrs. Ernest DiLorenzo. He is survived by his mother Carol M. DiLorenzo Hisey, Winter Haven; father Lamar Hampton, Winter Springs, FL; aunt Elizabeth DeLorenzo; uncle Vincent DiLorenzo; cousins Mark, Susan, Peter, Steven, Kenneth, Ernie, Ami and Jamie. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Mon., March 2, 2015. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., both at Steele's Family Funeral Services Chapel. Burial to follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery.
