SANDRA KAYE HUNTER, 50 WINTER HAVEN - Sandra Kaye Hunter, 50, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Winter Haven Hospital. Born February 2, 1966 in Steubenville, OH, she moved here as a child and has lived in the area for most of her life. She was an L.P.N. at Spring Lake Health and Rehab Center and was of the Catholic faith. Sandra was preceded in death by: her mother, Charlene MacGregor, a sister, Kristen Burch, and her grandparents, Ethel and Charles Hunter. She is survived by: a son, Austin Carrero of Winter Haven; a daughter, Savannah Hunter of Winter Haven; 2 sisters, Nikki Russell and her husband Robert of Auburndale, FL and Kelli Hunter of Winter Haven; a 1 niece, 6 nephews; 1 great-niece; and 1 great nephew.

FREDDIE HARPER LAKE WALES - Freddie Harper, 73, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016, at his residence. He was born on January 10, 1943, in Florala, Alabama to the late Thad and Annis (Madden) Harper and he has been a lifelong resident of this area. He was a retired machine operator for McDonalds Construction. Freddie loved to cook. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being outdoors, he especially loved his wife, children and his beautiful grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rondall 'Ronnie' Harper in 2006. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Pauline Harper; daughters, Elaine Cobb of Lake Wales and Brenda Wilbanks (husband, Larry) of Lake Wales; son, Paul Harper of Lake Wales; brothers, Austin Harper (wife, Mary) of Lake Wales, Bobby Harper (wife, Jean) of Mulberry, James 'Jamie' Harper of Lake Wales, Eugene 'Gene' Harper (wife, Sandy) of Winter Haven, and Theodore 'Scooter' Harper of Lake Wales; sisters, Eula 'Sister' Dyson of Alturas and Louearl Huston of Alabama; 5 beautiful grandchildren, Keegan and Kamden Harper, Danielle and Madison Cobb, and Dalton Wilbanks; many nieces and nephews; and his lifelong fishing and hunting buddy, Gene Tucker of Lake Wales. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, from 5:00pm until service time at 6:00pm at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Faulkner and Br-other Mikey Massey officiating. ROBERT N. HIGGINBOTHAM, 71 AUBURNDALE - Robert N. Higginbotham, age 71, passed away July 12, 2016. He was born January 15, 1945 in Jacksonville, FL, the son of Robert N. Higginbotham, Sr. and Annie Mae Johnson. He was an independent truck owner/broker. He attended Berea Baptist Church in Auburndale, FL. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother: Leroy Higginbotham. He is survived by his loving wife Ann and his siblings: Frances Wallace (Sam), Jerry Higginbotham (Ann), Barbara Gulick and Patricia Higginbotham, all of North Florida, 1 niece, 3 nephews, 3 grand nieces and 2 grand nephews. DOROTHY ANNE BARBER HILL, 89 LAKELAND - Dorothy Anne Barber Hill, 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at her residence. Anne was born February 4, 1927, in Birmingham, Alabama to Evan and Sue Barber. Anne and her husband Ashton lived in Lakeland where they raised their three children. In her later years she lived with her daughter and her family in Bradenton. Anne was a former volunteer with Lakeland Regional Medical Center with 25 years of service and over 5000 volunteer hours. Anne is survived by her sons, Kenneth A. Hill and Keith Hill; daughter, Dot Turpin; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ashton Hill. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9 a.m. with a chapel service to follow at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Lakeland Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens. LUCILLE FUNDOCK HOLMES, 95 LAKELAND - Lucille Fundock Holmes, 95, passed away on July 16, 2016. She was born in La Porte, IN and moved to Lakeland in the 1940s. Lucille was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, The Tropical Doll Club, as well as a former member of Lakeland Moose Lodge. In 1949, Lucille was chosen for the title of 'Mrs. Lakeland'. She will be deeply missed by all of the lives that she touched. Lucille was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard; and sisters, Louise, Lillian, and Lorraine. She is survived by daughters, Arlene and Shirley; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 10 to 11 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland.
