JANIE KATE KELLY, 62 FROSTPROOF - Janie K. Kelly of Frostproof, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Lake Wales Medical Center. She was born February 9, 1954 in Frostproof, Florida to Marvin 'Tump' and Addie P. (Mauldin) Meeks. She has been a lifelong resident of the area. Janie Loved to read. Survivors include her husband of 16 years Paul Kelly of Frostproof, FL, mother Pearl Meeks of Frostproof, FL, daughter Hillary Monk of Frostproof, FL, brother Milton Meeks of Bowling Green, FL, twin sisters Mary Ciszek of Babson Park, FL, Martha Brown of Lakeland, FL, brothers Carlton Meeks (Teresa) of Las Vegas, Kenny Meeks (Janice) of Frostproof, FL, sister Tammy Wiggins (Steve) of Babson Park, FL, brother Tommy 'Tump' Meeks of Des Moines, grandchildren Jacob Monk, Fisher Monk, Madelyn Monk, self-adopted grandchildren Joshua Crumbly and Emma Crumbly. Visitation will be held 4:00PM Monday, August 22, 2016 until service time at 5:00PM at the First United Methodist Church in Frostproof with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. KENDALL, NOBLE - Lakeland, Fl  
NOBLE KENDALL, 77 LAKELAND - Noble E. Kendall, 77, died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016. He was born Sept. 29, 1938 in Goshen, IN to Merle V. and Ruby (Swihart) Kendall. On Feb. 11, 1961 he married Caris VanInwegen in Goshen. She survives along with three daughters, Joy Beth (John) Hosier of Illinois, Janet (Ken) Lash of Florida and Carla (Bill) Gehman of South Carolina; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and four siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cathryn Grace Kendall and two brothers. Mr. Kendall worked in the banking industry in IT management. After his retirement he pastored a church. He was a longtime member of Gideons International and a member of Scott Lake Baptist Church where he was involved in its many ministries. Interment will be in Violett Cemetery, Gosh-en. KLEIN, GILBERT GENE  
GILBERT GENE KLEIN, 84 BARTOW - Gilbert Gene Klein, 84, of Bartow, Florida, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016, in Auburndale, Florida. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was an active member of the NAVY Reserves during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Elks, American Legion and Masons. He retired from Ford Motor Company as a steel buyer. He was a resident of Polk County the past 31 years, coming from Michigan. Gilbert was predeceased by his wife Joan Klein on June 6th, 2016. The loving couple had recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. He is survived by his daughters, Robin (Dean) Biondi of Michigan, Sharon (Jack) DeLeonard of Nevada, and Cindy (Tony) Morelli of Michigan; a son Steven (Gail) Klein of Michigan; grandchildren: Sandra, Nikki, Brooke, Paige, and Lindsey; and great grandchildren: Madelyn, Easton and Morelli; a sister: Beverly (Gene) Turchyn of Florida; and many loving nieces and nephews.
