ERIC WAYNE KRUEGER, 53 CLEARWATER - Eric Wayne Krueger, 53, entered into rest peacefully in his home in Clearwater on May 2, 2015. Born March 3, 1962, in Detroit to Dorothy and Ame Krueger, Eric graduated from Winter Haven High in 1980 and from the University of South Florida in 1988 with a degree in Marketing. He moved to the Tampa Bay area in the 1980s where he worked in the Hospitality Industry and Professional Sales. A lover of all things outdoors: hunting, fishing, sailing, disc golf, beach volleyball, snowmobiling, and skiing, Eric shared his boat, his catch, and his excellent cooking with his many friends and his loving family. Eric is survived by his wife, Janet (Castner) Krueger; his parents, Ame and Dorothy Krueger; his children Paula-Bianca Montealegre Krueger and Austin-Nash M. Krueger; his siblings: Amy Jo Krueger Lippe, Dennis Krueger (Linda), and Holly Krueger Togneri (Joe), and a large extended family. His Memorial Service will be held May 9th with gathering and visiting with family and friends to begin at 11am followed by the service at 12 pm at Hubbell Funeral Home, 499 Indian Rocks Road North, Belleair Bluffs, 33770, (727-584-7671). LEWIS EUGENE MAROTTI, 76 Ridge Citrus Corp. WINTER HAVEN - Lewis Eugene Marotti, Winter Haven, passed away at his vacation home in Highlands, NC, on Friday, May 1, 2015. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carole Collner Marotti, son Lewis E. Marotti, daughters Cara M. Hewett and Mia M. Holden, eight grandchildren, brother Robert E. Marotti and sister Lois Mongell. Born May 12, 1939, in Connellsville, PA, 'Gene' and his family moved to the Polk County area in 1943. He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity at UF, graduated with a degree in agriculture, and worked many years in the citrus industry. Gene enjoyed coaching baseball, fishing, and, most of all, spending time with his family. Memorial service will be Sat., May 9 at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations to First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven, Music Fund.

CONNIE S. SHEFFIELD, 89 Teacher BARTOW - Connie S. Sheffield, 89, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. Born October 9, 1925, in Tampa, she was the daughter of the late Grady Arthur Smith, Sr. and Mamie Townsend Smith. Mrs. Sheffield worked for many years in the public school system as a home economics teacher. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. Connie is also preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Sheffield in 2005. She is survived by her three sons, Mark Sheffield (Belle) of Debary, Steve Sheffield (Sandy) of Plant City, and John Sheffield of Bartow. Connie also leaves behind her brother, Grady Arthur Smith, Jr., and three grandchildren, Bailey Morris (Jeff), Justin Micah Sheffield, and William James Sheffield. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 6, 2015, from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11am at the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in Townsend Cemetery in Hawthorne. Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry at the First Baptist Church, 410 E. DONNA M. HOWELL, 48 Pre School Teacher LAKELAND - Donna M. Howell, 48, died April 30, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Lakeland and worked for the Polk County Pubic School System as a pre school teacher. She was also a member of First Baptist Church at the mall. Miss Howell was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Howell. She is survived by her son, Rodney Costine; daughter, Caitlin Raines; mother, Judith Howell; sister, Dianne Gee; aunt, Marcia (Mike) Neuhofer; uncle, Frank (Michele) Howell; nephews, Cody and Jacob and several cousins. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
