MAXINE W. FLEMING, 94 Heart of Florida Hospital HAINES CITY - Maxine W. Fleming, 94, of Haines City, Florida, passed away on April 19, 2015, at Clare Bridge of Winter Haven. She was born March 3, 1921, to the late Howard and Amanda Nuzum Williamson of Columbiana, Ohio. She moved to this area in 1970 after 31 years as an Air Force wife, with tours in Germany, Morocco, Spain and numerous bases stateside. She was an RN at Heart of Florida Hospital and a member of First United Methodist Church, both in Haines City. Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Fleming, Maxine is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Barnes, Margaret Smallwood and sons Jay Peggy , David Diane , and Paul Jill ; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 11 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Rev. Pam Childs officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 3470 Lakeland Hills Blvd., Lakeland, FL, 33805 or Humane Society of Polk County, 555 Sage Road, Winter Haven, FL, 33881. RONALD F. FREDERICK, 82 Whirlpool Corporation LAKELAND - Mr. Ron Frederick, 82, passed away at home on Saturday, April 18, 2015. He was born in Fremont, OH, on April 19, 1932. Ron was a member of the Catholic faith. In addition to his wife and children, he also adored his boxer dogs. Ron worked for Whirlpool as a restoration specialist for 41 years. In retirement he pursued his passion for Nascar, antique car restoration and Florida State University football. This man and his great sense of humor will be greatly missed. Ron could fix anything and his family will always be reminded of him when they recall the phrase, 'what would Ron do?'. Ron was predeceased by his daughter, Cheryl and brother Vic. He is survived by his wife, Myrna; son, Barry Frederick (Mary M.); daughter, Laurie Mierke (Doug) and sister, Rita Sass. He is also survived by his precious grandsons, Joshua and Jason Frederick. GRACIA, EDWIN FRANCIS  
EDWIN FRANCIS GRACIA, 83 State Farm WINTER HAVEN - Edwin Francis Gracia, 83, of Winter Haven, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Winter Haven Hospital. Born November 22, 1931, in Albany, GA, he moved here 40 years ago from Jacksonville. He was retired from State Farm where he was a claims superintendent. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy, was a prize winning rosarian and member of The Rose Society of Winter Haven, and was member of the Parkland Baptist Church in Winter Haven where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He also blessed many as he served in prison ministry. Mr. Gracia is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Virginia Gracia and a son, David Gracia. He is survived by a son, Charles B. Gracia of Lakeland, FL, and his wife Karen; a daughter, Rebecca G. Commer and her husband J.C. of San Antonio, TX; and 4 grandchildren, Hilary Commer, Morgan Commer, Courtney Maquilon and Christopher Latner. The family will receive friends from 5 00pm till 7 00pm, Friday, April 24, 2015, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 1 00pm, Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Parkland Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery. JONES, VIOLET AUDREY  
VIOLET AUDREY JONES, 84 FORT MEADE - Violet Audrey Jones left for her eternal home on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, ending a truly memorable and rewarding life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born in Deer Park, Florida, on January 23, 1931, the daughter of Malcolm and Gladys McCullough. She married Everett 'Lorenza' Jones in 1949. After they were married, they lived in Alturas, FL, and eventually moved to Bartow where they raised their 3 children. She worked many years at KT Pharmacy in Bartow and then as the Office Manager for her husband's business, Everett Jones Electrical Contracting. Upon retirement they lived happily at their home at Royal Ranch Estates until Everett's passing in 2003. With deep devotion to each other, they celebrated 54 years of marriage. After Everett's passing, she moved to Fort Meade, FL, to be closer to family. Her greatest love, aside from her husband, was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Until her health began to fail, she was always planning trips, get-togethers, and meals so she could be with her family. She was a blessing beyond measure to all who knew her! Immediate family left behind to mourn her loss include daughters Donna Tim Joyner and Debbie Joe Taylor and son Edwin Colleen Jones; 9 grandchildren Rachel Whittington, Kelly Rit-chie Vaughn, Everett Lauren Jones, Jason Casey Taylor, Scott Shannan Taylor, Kaitlin and Janan Taylor, Amber Ernest Ashford and Destiny Robert Ogden and 9 great grandchildren Alyssa Whittington, Raegen and Rylen Vaughn, Isaiah, Skylar and Trinity Ashford, Layla Ogden, Drew Taylor and Hayven Certelli. Other immediate family survivors include her sister Laura 'Murl' Jones and her brother Donald McCullough. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24th from 6 00 p.m. to 8 00 p.m. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. TRACY ANNE SELPH MATHEOS, 52 Registered Nurse LAKELAND - Tracy Anne Selph Matheos, 52, of Lakeland, died peacefully at home due to health complications on April 21, 2015. She had a deep love of God and Jesus Christ and led many in that same direction. She was born on September 4, 1962, in Thousand Oaks, CA. She was a registered nurse and graduated from Polk Community College with an Associate in Science degree. Tracy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lakeland. Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Stacy Selph. She is survived by her mother, Anne Selph Hatley (Boyd,) husband, George, daughter, Alexandra Anne, step-daughter, Amanda Marie, granddaughter, Bella Marie, sister, Shelley Selph Lomastro (Michael,) nephews, Michael Lomastro and John Lomastro (Margaux,) and many friends and extended family members who loved her. Tracy was loved by so many and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SPCA Florida Adoption Center, 5850 Brannen Rd., S, Lakeland, FL, 33813, or American Cancer Society, 1920 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland, FL, 33803.
