LAKELAND - Eloise Letchworth, 82, passed away peacefully at home early Monday morning February 18th, 2013 due to heart failure.
Eloise was born in Lakeland, Florida in 1930, the eldest daughter of Willard Barnett (deceased) and Susie May Ellison Barnett Ward (deceased); she had 4 sisters, Birdie Shell (deceased), Bessie Peacock (deceased), Gladys Miller (deceased) and Patsy Daniel of Polk City, FL; 2 brothers, Norman Barnett of Chiefland, FL and Ottis Barnett "Little Ottis" of Mulberry, FL and 2 step brothers, Harley Ward of Lakeland, FL and Eddie Ward of Louisiana.
She married Ottis A. Letchworth (deceased) of Thomasville, Georgia and had 7 children. Alfred Letchworth of Lakeland, FL, Sue Smith of Lakeland, FL, Alvin Letchworth of Jacksonville, FL, Kirmet Letchworth of Lakeland, FL, Aubrey Letchworth of Lakeland, FL, Wanda Fay Stephenson of Lakeland, FL and Brenda Kay Hartzog of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She had 18 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
Eloise dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. She never missed an opportunity to hug each one of her family and friends and tell them how much she loved them.
Celebration of life will be held on Thursday February 21, 2013 from 4 to 7 pm at 1624 Ritter Road Lakeland, FL.
