HAINES CITY - James L. Brown of Haines City, passed away November 7, 2013 in Indiana from heart failure. He was 88.
A native of Vincennes, IN, born April 4, 1925, James moved here in 1965 from Vero Beach. He was a truck broker, and owner of Brown Produce. James also served in the South Pacific during World War II
in US Marines, and he was a Mason in the Haines City Masonic Lodge, and he also was a member of the Scottish Rite.
James was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Brown. He is survived by his son Michael L. Brown of Lakeland, FL; his daughters Judith Mike McLain of Otwell, IN, Debra K. Stan Walk of IN; stepson Bob Mimos of Labelle, FL; stepdaughter Rosemary Jimmy Dean of St. Augustine, FL. James also had 1 granddaughter, 1 great granddaughter, 1 step granddaughter, 1 step grandson, 1 step great granddaughter, and 1 step great grandson.
A gathering of friends will be Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 11 AM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice. Condolences to the family can be sent to www.oakridgefuneralcare.com
