MARY RUTTER WHITED ADAMS, 84
WINTER HAVEN- Mrs.
Mary Rutter Whited Adams passed away from Ovarian Cancer on May 6, 2011 in Winter Haven.
She was born in Howey-in-the-Hills FL. on January 12, 1927 to Vernon Rutter, Sr. and Mary Ellen Brown. She moved to Winter Haven in 1933 where she was raised by her father and step-mother Verna Mae. She attended Winter Haven schools and Polk Community College. Mary worked for Exchange Bank for 26 years.
She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Rutter; her sister, Verna Mae Ziglar; her daughter, Carol Ann Whited; her son Gerald Whited; and her husbands, Richard Whited and Adon W. Adams. She is survived by her brother, Vernon Rutter, Jr.; her son, Richard "Bruce" Whited; her daughter, Susan Rodenhaver; her daughter-in-law, Nancy "Whited" Kesinger; her stepson, Mark Adams and his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Ress; stepson, KGT Stanley, Jr.; stepdaughters, Judithe Savely, Joanie Cheston, Susan Stanley, Denise Adams Goddard and husband Fred Goddard, and Anne M. Adams; grandchildren, H.J. "Howie" Holbrook and wife Cari, Wendi Whited and partner Rich Nagel, Kyle Wilder, Leila Rheaume and husband David Smith; Blake, Evan, and James Goddard, and Kristine Goddard Lowder; great grandchildren, Hayden and Sawyer Holbrook, Carrie, Christopher and Coleman Goddard, Colin, Owen and Avery Goddard, Troy, Tripp, and Rheagan Goddard, and Korinne Lowder.
Mary was a member of Beymer Methodist Church. Visitation will be on May 11 from 12 - 1 with the service following at 1PM at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven with burial at Lakeside Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.Ott-Laughlin.com
