Robert Elton Bronson


FORT MEADE - Mr. Robert Elton Bronson, 84, died Monday, December 24, 2007 due to respiratory failure.
He was born on 10/9/1923 in Kissimmee, FL. He was a Mining Supervisor for Estech for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of American Legion Ft. Meade, Post #23.
He is survived by his wife Rosa Laura Bronson of Ft. Meade; step daughter, Catherine Windham and step son Fred Q. Sledge both of Lake Wales; step daughter, Laurie Hahne of Cape Coral, FL and step son, Jimmy Putnal of Plant City; sisters, Belle Bishop of Wauchula, Daisy Northcutt of Canton, NC, Judy Smith of St. Cloud, FL, Pansy Osterberg of Orlando, Wilma Bronson of Fort Meade, Estelle Bronson of Kissimmee; brothers, Sidney Bronson of Kissimmee, Leo Bronson of Winter Haven, Jack Bronson of Kissimmee, Basil Bronson of St. Cloud; 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Ft. Meade, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, 12/27/2007 at Cornerstone Church of God, 10 S. Seminole Ave in Ft. Meade. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the church, Rev. Bill Whitner and Rev. Jack Cochran officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Ft. Meade.
