Convenience Store Owner

LAKELAND - Mrs. Rose P. Faiola, age 85, died of heart failure Tuesday (February 12, 2013).
Born in Hartford, CT, on September 23, 1927, she came here from New Britain, CT, in 1970. She was a convenience store owner. Mrs. Faiola was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the knitting circle at Presbyterian Homes. She was an excellent cook and baker, and a prolific seamstress. Her Christmas cookies made her famous.
Mrs. Faiola was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Armando Faiola. She is survived by her daughter Rosann (James M.) Reeder, Lancaster, PA, son Armando (Robin Tamsing) Faiola, Jr., Maui, HI, daughter Marianne (Keith A.) Power, Joseph (Dellrie Humphrey) Faiola, both of Lakeland, sister Eleanor Ericson, Lakeland, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Oak Hill Burial Park.
