MORGANTOWN, IN. - Ruth Olive (Millard) Kincaid, age 85, passed away Wednesday morning, October 10, 2012 at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin of natural causes. She was a resident of Franklin and former resident of Kokomo, Indiana & Mulberry, Florida.
Ruth was born March 30, 1927 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Howard & Olive Ruth (Moore) Millard. She married Robert Wayne Kincaid on January 1, 1947 in Kokomo. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2007 after 60 devoted years of marriage.
Ruth was the loving mother to her daughters: Cheryl (Lee) Snider of Morgantown & Carol Ann Thorn of Hendersonville, Tenn. She will be remembered by her two grandchildren: Ryan (Ines) Snider of Fort Bragg, NC & Rachel Snider of Trafalgar; and one great grandson: Avery Gannon Rose.
Ruth was preceded in death by one brother: Howard Millard Jr.
She was a 1945 graduate of Kokomo High School and retired in 1987 as a Telephone Operator with Indiana Bell Telephone Company after many years of service. Ruth was a member of the Morgantown Baptist Church and a former member of the Scott Lake Baptist Church in Lakewood, FL. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her family and friends. Ruth also enjoyed bowling and playing the piano.
The Rev. Lee Snider will conduct a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, Oct. 12th at 11:30 am at the Franklin United Methodist Community, Wright Chapel, 1070 W. Jefferson St., Franklin. Friends may call from 10 am until service time on Friday at the Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
