LAKELAND - Virginia Legendre Hall, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, June 7, 2013, as a result of natural causes.
"Gincy," as many knew her, was born December 29, 1920 in New Orleans, LA, to Marjorie Mullan Legendre and Ambrose Joseph Legendre. She and her family moved to East Palatka, FL and later to Miami, where she attended Miami High School. Gincy graduated from Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and began her career as a registered nurse. She was promoted to OR division supervisor and served for 25 years at JMH with her husband Hardy L. Hall, x-ray technologist, later chief technologist. They also raised a family and cared for loved ones while at JMH. During her retirement, Gincy took up real estate. She moved to Lakeland in 1991. Gincy enjoyed painting and reading. She will be greatly missed.
Gincy was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy L. Hall, Sr.; mother, Marjorie Legendre; father, Ambrose Legendre; and brother, Kelly Reynolds. She is survived by her son, Hardy L. Hall, Jr. (Kim), of Tampa; daughter, Susan V. Trout (Gerald), of Lakeland; 4 grandchildren, Whitney, Matthew, Eryn, and Colin; as well as dear family and friends too numerous to count.
