LAKELAND - William "Roger" Anglin, 81, of Lakeland, died on May 20th, 2013 due to respiratory failure.
Roger was born on February 6th, 1932 in Roanoke, Alabama to Mary Lou Pool and Oliver William "OW" Anglin. He was a veteran of the United States Army, 25th Division, H-Field Artillery, having served in the Korean War and moved to Lakeland in 1983.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Marie Anglin, his sons and daughters in law, Alan and Sandy Anglin, Jeff and Darcy Anglin and 16 grandchildren, all of Lakeland.
Roger was saved and elected chorister at 17 at High Pine Baptist Church in Roanoke. He was baptized at 23 in High Pine Creek. Roger was a member of Family Worship Center in Lakeland. He enjoyed Southern Gospel Music and was an accomplished piano player.
Funeral services will be held in Roanoke and he will be laid to rest in High Pine Cemetery on May 23rd, 2013.
Roger has requested that donations be made to High Pine Baptist Church or Family Worship Center, in lieu of flowers.
