JAMES ROGER "JAKE" JACOBS, 68

MULBERRY - James Roger "Jake" Jacobs, 68, passed away May 30, 2011 of cancer at his sister's home in Mulberry, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his father, George; brother George; and sister, Deanna Martel and husband Roger. He is survived by two sons, James (Kim) of Va., and Roger of Ca.; mother, Golda of Port Henry, N.Y.; two brothers, Curtis of Port Henry, N.Y. and Michael of Gloversville, N.Y.; three sisters, Bette Mussman (Gary) of Dodge Center, Mn., Roxanne Liistro (Joe) of Mulberry, and Robin Mattison (Teddy) of Port Henry, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, J.C. and Brooklyn.
Jake worked for Polk County for 28 years. Funeral services will be held in Port Henry, N.Y at Harland Funeral Home. To the Tampa Bay Rays he was known as the dancer "Cotton Eye Joe".
