LAKE WALES - Doris Emily Acree, of Lake Wales Florida passed away due to heart failure on February 11, 2010 at her daughter, Tammie Conner's home in Lake Wales, Florida. She was 89.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O. Acree of Lake Wales; daughter, Wyvetta Bolden Hogan; two great grandchildren, Tristen and Colby Arey; two brothers, Horace Davis of Live Oak, FL and John Davis of Waverly, FL; sister, Vivian Tomberlin.
Ms. Acree is survived by three daughters, Darlene Kirchman of Belle Glade, FL, Sammie Candullo of Ocala, FL and Tammie Conner of Lake Wales; brother, Herman Davis of Lake Wales and sister-in law Vinnie Davis of Lake Wales and sister-in-law Ordee Acree of Lake Wales; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 115 South Missouri Avenue, Suite 500, Lakeland, Florida 33815.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 3:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
The family would like to express their love and gratitude to the Good Shepherd Hospice (Poppy Team of Bartow, FL) and Nurse Michelle and CNA Camille Esmie.

Tammie and family, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother, she was a very sweet and lovely lady. I know that she will be missed, but we know now that she is no longer in pain nor suffering. She is walking with God! My prayers go out to you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss.. Ms. Doris is definitely in a better place and with her loved ones there. She will truly be missed by my mother Carol who loved her dearly.
