William Moody Obituary
MOODY, 71
LAKELAND - William A. "Butch" Moody lost his battle with lung cancer on March 3, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Moody was born February 20, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Florida with his parents in 1945.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Suzanne Deaton Moody of Mulberry; children Drew Gibson (Jill) of Orlando, Jennifer Hallman of Lakeland and Molly Swafford (Blake) of Atlanta, GA.; nephew Lee Murphy (Pam) of Lakeland and two great-nephews; sons William A. Moody Jr. of Florida and David Moody of Baxter, TN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting a donation to the American Cancer Society.

Susie, My condolances to you and your family. I perhaps more than most will miss Butch, He was more than a brother to me. Numerous fishing trips we shared. We could talk about anything , I do not have or have ever had a friend like Butch. We shared many talks about almost everything.

Sue, my condolences in the going home of Butch. My sister-in-law Annette Joiner Davis told me about Butch's passing.

Sue, I am so sorry to see where Butch passed away. He was always such a happy person. I know you will miss him so very much. I was so surprised to see his obit next to my Mothers. I met Butch through his nephew Lee he always had a good laugh in his heart talked to him on the phone just a few days ago his spirits were high & told stories about enjoying the Carolinas.

Sue so sorry to hear of Butch'c passing . I got word from Alan Weeks email and now I See it online . Its been years since we have been in contact but still remember your pretty smile and personality ! Rest assured Butch is in a much better place now with no pain !!!
