FROSTPROOF - Margaret J. McKenzie 84, of Frostproof, FL, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring due to heart failure.
She was born January 5, 1929 in Frostproof, Florida to the late Alma R. and Bama (Scroggins) Clements and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Margaret was a retired Lab Technician for Sun Pure Citrus Plant as well as Cargil and Citrus Hill; she was a member of the Frostproof Assembly of God and Citrus Hill Retiree Group. She enjoyed going to the beach and reading.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lewis McKenzie in 2000 and granddaughter, Micki Crumbly. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah L. (Jerel) Crumbly of Frostproof; sons, Pinky (Wanda) McKenzie of Frostproof, Terry L. (Terri) McKenzie of Frostproof, sister, Sandra Waldron of Belleview, FL; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Galati and Rev. James Wood officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 12:00 noon until service time. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Good Shepherd Hospice (105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, Florida)
