CHERYL DENISE
LaFRENIERE, 39
WINTER HAVEN - On December 16, 1972 in Lakeland, Florida, a beautiful baby girl was born. Her name was Cheryl Denise Hood. At the time, her family was told she would not live past the age of 5. Yet, she brought much joy and happiness to the lives of everyone she met for 39 years. After a life-long illness, she passed away in Winter Haven, Florida on July 14, 2012 at 3:24 p.m.
Throughout all of her challenges, Denise never complained. She had a sweet spirit, a great sense of humor, and was always thinking of the needs of others, even during her final days.
More than anything, she wanted to be a Mother. After marrying, she miraculously gave birth to her son, Daimon LaFreniere. He was her pride and joy.
In addition to Daimon, Denise is survived by her parents, Luther Weldon & Judy Hood, her brother, Dennis Hood, her sister-in-law, Sabra Hood, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal Grandparents.
Denise attended Lake Gibson Senior High. She was passionate about helping others. After receiving a kidney transplant, she gave an eloquent speech to others who were waiting to become kidney recipients.
