LAKELAND - Mr. Chester M. Caldwell died 6/27/10 due to pancreatic cancer. Survived by son, 4 siblings & friends. Graveside SVC 7/2 @ 12pm @ Socrum Cemetery. Gentry-Morrison Northside.

Mr Caldwell was kind to me at a tough time while at Southwest Jr High. He told me to both gain work experience and hit the books - that both would take me far. I listened. And it did.
I am grateful for his encouragement and wisdom. He was a good man.

Mr. Caldwell was a great teacher. My husband and I met in his class the first day of 10th grade! At the end of the year, he wished us the best. He said he knew we were a good match. We have been married 45 years. He was so right! Blessings be on all the family.

Mr. Caldwell was one of my DCT teachers at LHS in 1966. He was one of my favorite teachers & will be greatly missed.

The visitation time will be held from 10:30-11:30 at Gentry-Morrison at the North side location (Lakeland) Friday, July 2. Following a grave side service at noon at Socrum Cemetery.

I FIRST CAME TO KNOW CHET AS THE MAYOR OF SOCRUM LOOP ABOUT 25 YEARS AGO AND HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND OVER THE YEARS. HE WILL BE MISSED BY US.
