BRANDON - Clyde B. Tanner, 68 of Brandon, Florida passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 from complications of Mesothelioma/COPD.
He was born Nov. 19, 1943 in Auburndale, Fl to Myrtle (Brown) and Horace Tanner. He was preceded in death by his parents and big brother, Gilbert (Bo). He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Joyce of Brandon, daughter, Tammy Tanner, Wimauma, stepdaughters, Terrie Cook, Plant City, Karen Schroyer, Lakeland, Melony Kent, Dunedin and a stepson, Kevin Killian, Brandon. He also leaves behind a brother, H.L. Olive, Seffner and a sister, JoNelda T. Winnett, Lakeland. He leaves behind his 3 grandsons, Paul IV, Kevin and Dakota Overstreet, 4 great grandchildren, Gavin, Paul, Sophia and Khloe Overstreet along with many nieces and nephews and also many friends.
Clyde attended Faith Baptist in Brandon. He was retired from DOT. He loved Nascar, football and fishing. He attended schools in Auburndale and served in the Air Force.
A celebration of Clyde's life will be held on his 69th birthday, at 2pm, Monday, November 19, 2012 at New Hope Fellowship, 302 Deen Blvd., Auburndale, Fl. with Pastor Gene Bassham officiating. Brandon Cremation and Funeral Svcs. was in charge of the cremation.
