MULBERRY - Curtis O. Hamlin, 88, passed away on November 30, 2013 of heart failure at L.R.M.C.
Curtis was born on January 4, 1925 in Mayo, Florida to Charles and Mattie Hamlin. Curtis was a veteran of World War II, having served in the motor pool of the Fourth Division of the Army Infantry and later worked as regional supervisor at CSX. Curtis was also a past master and 65 year member of the Corinthian Masonic Lodge #191. Curtis was a Christian and member of Scott Lake Baptist Church.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alda Hamlin, two sons Curtis D. Hamlin of Bradenton, FL and David O. Hamlin of Williamsburg, VA, one grandson, two nieces, five nephews, and many friends.
Curtis was a kind and gentle person who was never too busy to help anyone that was in need.
Services for Curtis will be held on Friday December 6, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Scott Lake Baptist Church- 5811 Scott Lake Rd., Lakeland, FL.
