Dorothy Pipkin Obituary
PIPKIN, 89
LAKELAND - Dorothy "Dottie" Pipkin, born in Virginia on June 14, 1921, went home to the arms of her Savior on May 31, 2011 as the result of renal failure.
She lived most of her life in Lakeland, raising her family here.
She is survived by her daughters, Jolinda Pipkin, Kelly Durham; dear friend, Chris Clifford; son, Bob White and daughter-in-law, Gerri White; granddaughters, Rhea Durham Wahlberg, Clair Durham, Estelle Robinson; grandson, Tommy Durham, Jr.; sister, Jo Pelot; and eight great-grandchildren.
Always ready with loving, encouraging words and wonderful soothing hugs, she was the heartbeat of our family. "You are present in our hearts always. Thank you for your love throughout our lives."
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Gentry-Morrison Dukes Steen Chapel, 1833 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland, FL 33803.

I will always have fond memories of Dottie's sweet voice, easy to be around personality, and of course her love for her family.
