Almost a year has passed since you left us here to face this world without you. I love and miss you soo much. My last birthday pretty much sucked. I knew that i wasnt going to get to be your birthday present nooo more. That broke my heart. I go to the Vineyard.C.O.G. like we did on Sundays. And sometimes they play songs that remind me of you and how you used to dance a lil jig before the Lord. Man I miss that. I love you and miss yout soo much. This still doesn't seem real to me. R.I.P. Uncle Dougie. I will never forget you. Xoxoxoxo You used to always call me ur Angel. But now ur my Angel.

Wow, what a shock about Doug's passing. He was such a wonderful and caring person. I haven't seen him in years, but in High School, he was always happy, fun to be in class with(even, tho he was a freshman and I was senior); No one could ever stir the pot like Doug, his laughter, wit and caring ways..May God Bless you all, during this time and I'm sure Doug will always be watching out for you all.

Uncle Doug, you were such an amazing man. I love you soo much, and I miss you. You have no idea how broken my heart is. I wish that things didn't have to be this way. But that's the way that God intended it I guess. I know that you are better off now, you are not in anymore pain. You are with Jesus where you always wanted to be. And I bet you are having a blast with your daddy, Uncle Donald, and everyone. but i sure wish we still had you here. I am going to miss the phone calls just to say I love you. I mean who else just calls just to say " I love you tina" NO ONE. That's just how you were. I don't want to say good bye, Not to you. you didn't deserve this. I will treasure the memories that we have together. And one day when I get to heaven i know that you are going to drop down on your knees like when i was a little girl and shout slow down baby slow down, because i am going to run and give you the biggest hug ever. I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH! XOXOXOXO R.I.P.

When my mother died in 2004, I called Doug at 9:30 pm on the Friday night she passed away. We hadn't seen each other in four years but he knew my mother well and I knew he'd want to know. The next morning he was at my house at 7:30 am to help me get through all the arrangements that needed to be made. I'll never forget his kindness during that tough time. My heart goes out to his family.
