EDWIN J. "JOEY"
DURRETT, Jr., 53

WINTER HAVEN - Edwin J. "Joey" Durrett, Jr., who resided in Winter Haven for 53 years, passed away Monday (June 6, 2011) due to cancer.
He was born on April 20, 1958, adopted by very loving parents in 1960, Edwin Durrett, Sr. and Louise Durrett.
He was preceded in death by father Edwin Durrett, Sr. Survivors include mother Louise Durrett, brother Randy Durrett and his son Jody Durrett, two granddaughters Alora and Angela Durrett; one niece, Taylor; several aunts, uncles, cousins and longtime companion Darlene Reel.
He attended Southside Baptist Church, graduated from W.H.H.S. in 1976 and joined the Army (also in 1976) 82nd Airborne Division. He was a Jump Master Sergeant and served for 12 years. He was also employed by Semco. Joey loved to fish, water ski and work on motors (any kind).
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved by everyone. He will be in our memory and hearts forever.
Graveside service will be at the Church of Christ Cemetery in Eagle Lake on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Crisp-Coon Funeral Home, Winter Haven.
