BARTOW - Esther Rose DeBoer was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on February 25, 1920 to Julia Kazora and Leslie Kosa. She graduated from Central High School in Kalamazoo in 1938 and subsequently attended Maher's Business College in Kalamazoo. She worked at First National Bank in Kalamazoo for eleven years. She married Auke DeBoer on June 29, 1946. They moved to Floral Lakes in Bartow in June of 1984.
Her parents, Julia and Leslie Kosa, husband Auke DeBoer, a sister and brother-in-law, Rev. Arpad and Helen Beretz, preceded in her in death. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Dr. John M. and Margaret "Peg" Phillips of Bartow. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren are living throughout the United States, Bratislava and the Netherlands.
Services will be in Mount Ever Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo, Michigan, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to
