Eugene Gelb Obituary
GELB, 75
LAKELAND - Eugene Francis Gelb, 75 of Lakeland, died March 25, 2010 due to heart failure.
Eugene was born February 27, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA to Leopold and Helen (Cardis) Gelb and move to Lakeland in 1972. He retired as CEO and President of Engineering America, Inc., Miami and was a US Air Force Korean War Veteran and was also a Purple Heart recipient. Eugene was united in marriage on June 27, 1959 to his wife, Marilyn, who resides in Lakeland.
He is also survived by his daughter, Nicole (Bruno) Dezayas of Lakeland; sons, Gene (Debbie) Gelb of Lakeland and Doug (Cecile) Gelb of Port Charlotte; brothers, Richard Gelb of Austin, TX and Ronald Gelb of Costa Mesa, CA; Twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes, Dukes-Steen Chapel, Lakeland.

I haven't seen Gene in 30 years, but I still remember him fondly. He was my first boss when I was only 17. My prayers are with his entire family.
