LAKELAND - Evelyn M. Green, age 80, died May 11, 2011 from heart failure.
Born in Starke, FL, on June 27, 1930, she was a retired housekeeper.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Green, Sr. She is survived by her children Samuel Robinson (Corine), Jessie Mae Davis (Tommie), Eloyce Stacey (Kenneth), Elaine Dwight (Marion), Darlene Joe (Ernest), David "Teedy" Green, Solomon "Timmy" Green; 38 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Luke's Ministries. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Sat. at St. Luke Ministries, 910 W. Quincy St., Lakeland.

To Elaine, Eloyce, Darlene and the entire Green family...just finding out about your "mother". I just want to send my sympathy and prayers out to each of you. I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad to have known Ms. Evelyn. I realize that you have lost a special person and no one will ever be able to replace her. She was really special.
