Retired Church Secretary

FROSTPROOF - Mrs. Frances G. Barbre went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2012. She passed peacefully at home at the age of 92 due to heart failure.
She is a member of the First Baptist Church, Frostproof and was a faithful Christian.
Mrs. Barbre was born in LaFayette, Georgia on March 10, 1920. She was a long time resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee before moving to Frostproof in 1997. She retired after many years as a church secretary from Ridgedale Baptist Church in Chattanooga.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lt. George W. Barbre, USN Retired.
She is survived by her brother, George Burton Pierce, Chattanooga, Tenessee and by her daughter and son-by-marriage, Martha Anne and Ernest Wasdin, Frostproof; granddaughter, Barbre - Anne Strickland (Tommy), Frostproof; grandson, William E. Wasdin (Amber), Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; great granddaughter, Kimberley M. Wasdin, Frostproof; great grandsons, Rodney L. Strickland, Frostproof, W. Jackson Wasdin, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; great great granddaughters, Cali S. and Ava R. Wasdin, Frostproof and several nieces and nephews in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 by Rev. Darrol Hood at the First Baptist Church, Frostproof.
