LAKELAND - Georgia Hutton, 83, passed away from cancer on June 6th, 2011.
She was born in Rochelle, Georgia on September 17th, 1927 and raised in Lakeland, grad-uating from Lakeland High School in 1945 (Georgia Barfield), as captain of the cheer leading squad.
She worked for Belk Lindsey and later as a real estate agent. Georgia loved meeting people and considered her years in real estate very rewarding.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Dampier in 1972, and husband, James Hutton in 1995. She is survived by two sons, Harry "Pete" Dampier (Susan) and Hubert "Hobie" Dampier, two grandsons, James "Dustin" Dampier (Sandy) & Joshua Dampier, and a great granddaughter, Alexie Bordes, all of Lakeland.
Although no longer with us, she will live in the hearts of those who loved her forever.
A Celebration of Georgia's Life will be held at Gibsonia Baptist Church on Friday, June 17th at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice.

Imagine that! Families and friends torn apart by death will again meet here on earth. Georgia touched my life many many years ago when we worked together at Morris Rister Real Estate, what an awesome lady she was!! I am sure she will be sadly missed by many! My sincere condolences to her family and friends!
