HIGGINBOTHAM, Jr., 61

LAKELAND - Henry "Hank" Harrison Higginbotham, Jr., of Lakeland, FL, passed away on Friday December 14, 2012 of heart failure. He was 61 years old.
He was the oldest son of Henry and Ila Higginbotham Sr. Born in Charleston, WV the family moved to Lakeland, FL in 1956 where he was a Soap Box Derby Champion, an Eagle Scout, and a member of First Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Lakeland High School in 1969 and the University of Florida in 1975 from the school of Building Construction, he was a Professional Engineer at the South West Florida Water Management District.
Mr. Higginbotham is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara; daughters, Leah Beth and Amy; siblings, Donald Higginbotham and Rebecca Rodda and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on December 19 at 11am at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the FPC Scholarship Fund or the FPC Boy Scout Troop #104 at 175 Hollings-worth Drive Lakeland, FL 33813.
