Cathy, I just heard about Aunt Irene's passing away. Catherine Kelley Barnett attends my church and is a friend. She had told me that her family knew your mom. I regret that we lost contact with you after Uncle Wallace died. I have good memories of your family visiting at Granny Cupp's house. I hope you are doing well.

Dear Cathy, Ken and Family,

Your Mother was the sweetest person to Jerry and me. She and Wallace moved to Clearwater when I was 7 years old, and even though my memory probably extends back to age 3 or 4, I am amazed at all the recollections of Irene crammed into those few years. The amount of trouble Jerry and I caused her was enough to make any women decide she never wanted to have children of her own. It is probably a good thing she moved away.I can't imagine what more trouble we could have visited upon her.

She was a dear heart and will be missed all. Her energetic enthusiasm was contagious. You had a good Mother and we all loved her.

I would pray the Lord comforts you and eases your broken heart.
