AUBURNDALE - Mr. James Edwin Guy, age 81 a resident of Auburndale passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Auburndale Oaks Healthcare Center due to heart failure.
Mr. Guy was born March 13, 1931 in Cottonwood, Alabama to L.P. and Willie Bell (Fears) Guy. He was a lifetime resident of Auburndale, past member of Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale and was a retired Insurance Agent. Edwin enjoyed fishing, gardening and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Lisa Diamond and 2 brothers Don & Levone.
Edwin is survived by his loving family: wife of 23 years: Joanne Guy of Auburndale, FL, 4 sons: Ronnie (Debbie) Guy of Trinity, FL, Mike (Sandy) Guy of Auburndale, FL, Denny (Janey) Guy of Auburndale, FL, Joel (Jan) Guy of Groveland, FL, 2 daughters: Bridgett (Tony) Goins of Sevierville, TN, Angela Ashley of Groveland, FL, 5 stepsons: Earl Wade of Dayton, OH, James (Melissa) Wade of Lakeland, FL, Donald Kane of Lakeland, FL, Walter Kane of Lakeland, FL, David (Laura) Kane of Kansas City, KS, brother, Charles (Sybil) Guy of Troy, AL, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 11:00 AM Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Kersey Funeral Home. Interment at Auburndale Memorial Park.
