JOHN W. "JOHNNY"
LAKELAND - John Wesley Hedrick went home to be with the Lord on May 27th 2013 after a brief battle with lung cancer surrounded with love by family.
Johnny was a simple, independent, hard working and very private man who could fix anything and was always willing to help others.
He resided in Kathleen FL. He served in the Army reserves where he received his diploma and certification in carpentry. He loved to read, fish and garden. His hobby was racing as he raced stock cars for many years. He also was an avid follower of NASCAR and always pulled for Jack Roush's Fords & specifically Mark Martin.
He was the man we could talk to about anything. He was so smart on life, world events, history, finances, politics and the bible. He taught his children and family to not be materialistic or worldly but to be our own person and never trying to impress, work hard and always be willing to help others.
Mark 8:36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
He was preceded in death by his parents Lavern and Maude Hedrick and son Randy Hedrick.
