LAKELAND - Johnnie Lynnette Witter was a special gift from God, born on April 22, 1982 in Plant City, Florida. On May 18, 2011, she went to our heavenly home where there is no death, no tears, no sorrows or pain, to be with our Lord Jesus. God, in all of his infinite wisdom, knew that, because she was a special child, she would need special parents, who were loving, patient and kind and would love and cherish her and give her the sacrificial love and devotion and care which she would need for the brief twenty nine years of her life.
Johnnie is survived by her parents Johnnie and Debbie Witter, whom God chose for this awesome task.
Johnnie was a blessing from God to all who knew her and was loved by her family, friends and the staff at Doris Sanders Learning Center, Sunrise Community Services and Child Development Center.
She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, C.M. (Jr.) and Dorothy Witter, maternal grandparents, Ronald and Kate Harrell, maternal grandmother, Dorothy Baggett, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, May twentieth at 6:30 p.m. at the New Horizons Baptist Church, located at 11930 US Highway 98 North, Lakeland.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sunrise Community Services of Polk County, Achievement Academy or Hope Hospice.

Johnnie Witter my sweet baby gril when you were born they she wont survive one year.We were blessed with you for 29 years.They said you would never know no one you knew and loved lots of friends and relatives who loved you very much.They said you would never do eny thing you went camping and hiking in the woods,you went to the beach and played in the gluf,you rode rides at Universal andDisney.You sang and danced and enjoyed life. Iwill always remember your loving touch and your enchanting smile.Iwill love and miss you every day. Love Dad

Dear John and Debbie,
RJ and I can't imagine the loss you feel for your precious Johnnie Lynn...your miracle girl. In the few years we've known you, we witnessed the love you and Johnnie Lynn shared, saw the lives each of you touched, and the beautiful lessons Johnnie Lynn taught everyone who came in contact with her. God blessed you and your family with your special and precious Johnnie Lynn and now she is home with Him in Heaven...dancing, laughing, and singing. May all of the wonderful memories you created with Johnnie Lynn give you comfort.

My Dearest Granddaughter
You where always my special girl. Beautiful, happy but a little bashful at times. At christmas, you were my favorite to get a present for, something with a song and lots of different noisies. I'm sure now you and Barney are having a great time on saturday night sitting around watching your favorite show, Lawrence Welk.
We all miss you but we all know you have your wings and you are free and happy. I will miss you and the way you would look up at me when you put your hand in my beard and would say " pa pa, pa pa ". I love you and will see you again. Love Pa Pa Ron

Debbie, Not sure if you remember me, but I had the awesome pleasure of teaching Johnnie at the Child Development Center. I was so sorry to hear of Johnnie's death from Sena Schirm. I wish I could have attended Johnnie's celebration and oh what a celebration i know it was. I know that it doesn't fill the void here on earth and I know she will truly be missed but what a wonderful assurance we have that we will see her again (in all her glory) and all our other loved ones. I have never forgotten her and never will. My life was truly blessed by knowing her.

JohnnieLynn....for 20 years you allowed me to be your Grandma...I am honored. You repeatedly showed me your perfect self, loving, courageous, and patient. And I saw you. John and Deb...you are the most amazing couple I've ever known...your absolute devotion, patient and loving care, and your joy in being parents touched me profoundly. My sweet Johnnie...You were always my special girl and although I know as teachers we are not supposed to pick favorites I just couldn't help it with you. I am so saddened to know that you are no longer on this Earth but so happy that you are now with Jesus...eating peanut butter sandwiches I bet! I can hardly wait to get to heaven so we can "hang out" together! I love you.
Johnnie and Debbie...thank you so much for sharing your girl with me...she is so precious. I am a better person for knowing both her and you guys...God bless you...Let's keep in touch!
