PERKINS, 89
PALATKA, FL. - Lela Mae Perkins, 89, went home with the Lord May 26, 2011 @ Putnam Hospital in Palatka.
Mae was born in Cairo, GA Sept. 10, 1921. Preceded in death by her husband Carlton D Perkins of 55 years.
She was a resident of Palatka Health Care since 2007. She lived in Lakeland for over 53 years. Where she was a member of West Lakeland Church of God, then moved to Welaka in 2002 to be near her children.
Survived by her children, Delores Craft of Georgetown, son, Larry Perkins of Georgetown, son, Carlton Perkins of Welaka; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, & 1 great great grandchild.
Her smile and tremendous love that surround her extended to everyone she met.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm May 30 at the Church of God in Cairo, GA Funeral Service will be 11am. with Rev. Tommy Propes, officiating. Interment will follow Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo, Ga. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Welaka Woman's Club, P.O. Box 154 Welaka, FL. 32193.
Arrangement are entrusted to Watts Funeral Home in San Mateo.
